Daniel Seymour, "A Loud Song," Lustrum Press, 1971. First edition.
Signed and inscribed on the title page by Seymour's mother, Isabella.
Seymour was mentored by Robert Frank, and co-directed with him the documentary film on the Rolling Stones entitled "Cocksucker Blues," though he produced a wealth of photographic work as well. This book--his only published book before mysteriously disappearing off the coast of Colombia only two years later--is a visual autobiography, replete with Seymour's handwriting and photographs throughout.
Book is bent near spine from being stored poorly, with slight uneven discoloration at fore edge of front cover, and some scuffing and small stains to back cover. Some pages are slightly wrinkled at top edge. Stapled binding remains sound, interior clean. G+.
