Signed on the front endpaper by Goodale. There is an additional personalization and date beneath the signature, though this does not appear to be in Goodale's hand. The poems reflect Goodale's longtime residence in the Appalachian highlands, and her daily life there.
Light wear at jacket extremities, spine slightly faded, housed in protective cover. Book itself has some dust soiling and light foxing at top page edges, slight discoloration to endpapers and pastedowns, spotting to cloth. Overall VG. Uncommon.
