The line "I am your president" carries from Myles' poem "An American Poem," from their collection "Not Me," published by Semiotext(e) in 1991. Though undated, this button was likely created for Myles' 1992 write-in campaign for president, an act which inspired Zoe Leonard's famous work, "I Want a President."

Back of button shows some tarnishing, front surface shows light wear, overall in solid, very good condition.
