Moderate-to-heavy wear to jacket, with small chip at top edge of front panel, heavy rubbing to rear panel with tear and crease at bottom edge, light wear at all extremities otherwise. Light foxing at edges of flaps. Now housed in Brodart cover. Book itself foxed at all page edges, some discoloration to endpapers and pastedowns. Overall VG in a VG- jacket. Often seen in the book club edition, uncommon in the first edition state.
