First impression of the first edition of Lee's classic novel.
Spine cloth has some faint foxing throughout, outer color slightly dulled, a couple small/light scuffs to boards. Rubbing at both spine ends, with a small area of fraying at foot of spine and where the cloth connects to lower edge of front board. Lower fore corner of rear board bumped and rubbed through. Slight forward lean to binding. Heavy crease in binding visible at title page, small stain visible at top fore corner of title page. Some smudging from erased pencil marks on front endpaper. Small area of surface roughing at fore edges of pages. Binding remains intact and sound, interior clean aside from title page and endpaper. Overall G+/VG-. Uncommon in the true first state.
