Not the very first, but an early issue of this M.F.K. Fisher omnibus, which includes the books "Serve It Forth," "Consider the Oyster," "How to Cook a Wolf," "The Gastronomical Me," and "An Alphabet for Gourmets" in one volume.
Jacket dust soiled throughout, with some foxing and darkening to spine, rubbing at spine ends with small loss and a couple small tears. Stain visible at top edge of rear flap. Now housed in Brodart cover. Book itself has some spotting at top page edges, foxing at fore and bottom page edges, slight discoloration at board edges, slight discoloration to endpapers and pastedowns, short tear in cloth at head of spine. Overall a G+/VG- copy. Uncommon in hardcover, moreso in dust jacket.
