The first edition of Nabokov's classic novel, published in France and printed in Switzerland, though these copies are from a 1959 printing, which follows the first US publication of the novel in 1958.
Volume I has three surface dents in the front cover, which have also transferred to the first few pages. Back cover has a crease at top left corner. Both volumes have light foxing at page edges, light reading wear with some rubbing at corners, slight fading to spines. Volume I has heavy silverfishing to spine, while volume II has only a couple spots of silverfishing. Overall a VG set, and uncommon to find together.
