The first two volumes in Williams' magnum opus, originally completed in five volumes from New Directions.
Rear panels of both jackets show some scuffing and staining. Book I suffers from extensive water damage, with staining to both jacket panels and boards, bowing to boards and some wrinkling to pages near binding. Aside from water damage, jacket has some uneven tanning and moderate wear at extremities, some uneven discoloration to endpapers and pastedowns. Book Two has some water damage to jacket and boards as well, though cosmetic stains are the extent, with interior pages unaffected, boards remaining flat. Uneven discoloration to jacket, endpapers and pastedowns otherwise.
